Inference detective

Inference Detectives: Looking for clues




  • Tom was angry. Proof: Because he stormed into the room.

  • Tom’s teammates were staring at each other in stunned silence.
  •  Why were they looking at each other?: They were looking at each other because they must of didn’t like tom.


  • Hannah was giggling and squealing. Proof: She was giggling and squealing because she ripped up the paper for her present.

  • When Hannah got her present she was delighted with happiness. Hannah began to clap. Why did hannah clap: She clapped because she was happy.


  • Fred was sad. Why was he sad: He was sad because he hasn’t seen molly for a long time.

  • Fed left the shop. Why did he leave the shop: He left  the shop because he wanted to be a lone in front of the TV.

  • Fred hobbled towards the counter. Why did he hobbled: He hobbled because he must of been tired from driving around.

  • Fred hand was shaking when he took his leather wallet out. Why did his hand shank: His hand shook because he must of been cold.
Today for reading we were doing inffering. Inferring is when you read a text and if it talks about something happy then you would think that the person is happy. For this task we had to inferr three texts. The first text was about Tom and about him being angry because something happen that Tom didn't want to happen. The second text was about Hannah being excited because she got a present. The last text is about Fred. Fred was going to buy something from the grocery store but when he pulled out his leather wallet he found a photo of his wife/Molly. Fred was very happy before he saw the picture of his wife. So we had to say how the charater was felling.
