Verb Words


L.I: To identify verb tenses.
This week for Writing we were learning about Past Continuous, Future Continuous, and Simple Present. For our Writing must do we had to male a google slide. We had to make slides that have verb words on it. Then we had to write Past Continuous, Future Continuous, and simple Present. For this writing must do we had to get into partners. The person that i grouped with was Farzana. We had to make 7 videos and 13 blank slides.

The videos are about the verb word that we choose. The first video that we did was Sleep. The verb words that we have choosen are Sleep, Teach, Knock, Play, Scream, Bend, Call, Ban, Feel, Sort, Hand, Act, Choke, Change, Shop, Ship, Bowl, Tan, Peel, and dream. We choose these words because they haven't been chosen and they are easy to record.

What is Peace?


L.I: To explore some definitions of peace.
This week for inquiry we were learning about Peace. We had to make a copy of this slide and we had to write 3 words that decribe the photo. There are 8 photos that we had to write about. We weite the information on the Speaker Note and we write the word's next to the photo that we are going to decribe. For this Inquiry task we had to split our group into 2 and 3.

We split our group into 3. The people that I worked with was Victoria, Me, and Florence.On the speaker Note we had to make our on sentence. On the Note Speaker we had to write 3 Sentence's. Some of the photo were hard to describe.But some of the photos was easy to Describe.

The first picture that i wrote on was the Freedom one. We all started on one of the slides. Some of the sentences are short and long. Then we had to make a google drawing talking about peace. When we had finished the google drawing we had to make another slid with our Peace Poster. Then we could blog our Google Slide and Poster.

This week for maori we went into work space 2. We got a sheet and it had maori words and english words. The sheet that we have got gaven was easy.

Kiwi Can


L.I: To show respect to our environment
Today we went to room 7 for kiwi can. When we got inside we had to get into 4 lines. Then we talked about our Theme and Topic. Our theme is Respect for our Environment, and our topic is Respect. We then went into our energiser. It was called Snake. It's when there is a tagger and they have to swirl on the floor to try and tag somebody.

 If the tagger tagged somebody they will have to be tagger's as well. We than went back into our 4 lines. We then talked about Respect for our Environment. Mr Matt and Miss Paige did some Questions about Environment and LS1 group B answered the questions. We then went into our Activity. It was called Tik Tac Toe.

But we played it with chairs. So there are chairs. There are 3 rows of chair. But for this game we had to name our group so Mrs Matt can know which group can come up and have there turn. The group name's were the Islander's, IDK, Iron fist, and this other team. The first team that had to come up was the Islanders and IDK Team. The team that won was The islanders. The team that i was in is the Islanders. We all had a 3rd team or 2nd turn.

The team that won was the Iron Fist team. We then went into a circle. We were playing JKQ. It's when there is a Master and they have to go around the circle and answer the questions that Mrs Matt or Miss Paige says. Mrs Matt and Miss Paige did some easy and hard questions. The first Master was Mojtaba. But then Matthew was the Master. 

Being Safe online quiz

Today for cybersmart we were learning about staying safe Online. What we had to do was we had to play this game. The game is about being safe. It has levels that talks about health of your computer and more safe information. For this cybersmart task we had to work indivusally.

I did some questions for you guys to answer. The questions are about being safe online. We had to make a quiz on google form. I did 5 questions for yous to answer.

SSR Selfie

Today i did ssr selfie. The book that i was talking about was Spelling b. Its about a girl that finds a magic book. This book is really interesting that's why i talked about this book. The best page that i liked to read was page 67. 

I didn't want to right another paragraph on the ssr selfie slide because i didn't want to let people know about this book i wanted them to read it so they know what will happen. 

Inferring thoughts and Emotions


L.ITo infer thoughts and emotions
This week for Reading we were learning how to infer things like videos and pictures. We had to infer on this video that is called For the birds. We had to screenshot parts of the video. We could take screenshots of any parts of the video. Inferring means reading in-between the lines or thinking of what another person is feeling. On the first slide we had to work as a group. Then we worked individually for the next slides.




Basic Facts Boxes


Today we did basic Facts Boxes. Its when you do Addition, Subtraction, and Time Tables. The first layer that I did was Addition and Subtraction. We had to work by ourselves for this can do. This is easy and Hard. Addition are easy and Subtraction but the time table isn't.

Exchanging Money


L.I:To exchange money
This week for Maths we were learning about exchanging Money. What we had to exchange was $10 for $1. For this maths task we had to get into partners. My partner was Kaitlyn. We made our video first and then we made a google slide. The video is showing what we have been learning about. The google slide is showing what we had to do.

SSR Selfie

Today for SSR Selfie i talked about a book that i was reading. It was called The best worst thing. The author for this book is Kathleen Lane. This book was so interesting that's why i choose this book to read. I chose this book because i wanted to see what it was all about. Some other stories have predictable endings and i think this book does as well.

Today I have been commenting on students blogpost. The first blogpost that i commented on was Sakina's writing blogpost. On her blurb she explained what she was doing and how she did it. The actios that she picked were easy and hard to do. It must of taken them for long to finish of there slide.

Verb Word's


This week for Writing we were learning about Future, Past and Present. Past is Punched, Continuous Present is Punching and Future is Will Punch. For this writing task we had to work in partners. The person that i worked with was Afatia. To do the video's it was hard and easy. We had to highlight the word that we were going to do. For one of them we did Simple Past, Future, and Present. We had to get all the equipment like the book and the paper that i need to scrunch.

Basic Facts Boxes


Today i did my basic facts. I did Addition and Subtraction. Addition is adding numbers up and subtraction is taking away number to make it go less down. The first column that I did was Addition. If you get the answers wrong then it will say incorrect if it was right it will say Good and the colour will turn green. The take aways were hard we just needed to write the answer down we couldn't count with our fingers but i think we could count in our head.

Boxing

Today we went to the hall for boxing. The coach that teaches us is Miss Pacs. When we got inside of the hall we had t get into partners. The person that I went with was Sulia and Sakina. The equipments that we had were 2 noodles and Boxing gloves. I started with the 2 noodles and sulia and sakina started with the boxing gloves. The gloves that they got were red. Then we learnt some boxing skills that pacs learnt.

Trenches | World War 1

This week for Inquiry we were learning about Trenches. If you want to find out more information for Trenches just search it up on a site thats good for answering proper questions. What we had to talk about was Talking about what the soldiers do, No man's island, Talking about the Trench, Parts of the trench, Sandbag, and other information. We had to get into partners for this Inquiry Task. The person that I grouped with was Sandra. Me and her were finding facts but we wrote them in our own word's. 

What Can You Tell ?


L.I:To infer information
This week for Reading we had to get into partners. We were learning to infer things like furniture or like pictures. The partner that i grouped with was Chris. We had to make another copy because we weren't allowed on the same slide. The pictures that we had to infer was the Sky Tower, Hotel De Ville, Kitchen/Dining Room, and the Market.

To infer those photo's we needed to talk about the scene, infer about something like the colours, even you can ask questions like What does the photographer think about all of the decorations that she sees. For the Sky Tower one I was inferring about Rangitoto island, The scene, This is the Sky Tower, and I was inferring about the ocean. For the market I inferred the scene, talking about the photographer what she or he what they felt. I also inferred about the people.

For the kitchen/dining room I inferred what they were having, i inferred about the decorations that I see in this photo, I talked about the scene, and I inferred about the owners and what they would of felt. For the Hotel de ville in inferred about the crowd, I inferred about the scene, I inferred about the scene again and inferred what the people would of done.

Clock Telling


L.I:To tell the time on analogue clock.
This week for Maths we were learning about Big Time. The long hand is supposed to be blue and the short hand has to be red. The shot hand tells the hours and the long hand tells the minutes. The minutes are outside of the clock and the hours are inside of the clock. This Maths task was easy and hard. We didn't need to work in partner's for this math's task.

 The easiest out of all of those clock's are 10:30. We had to go on this site and we could do our on clock. If you want to change the colour of the clock you have to go on Format Option's. The minutes are those line's that are outside of the clock the hours are the numbers that are inside of the clock. I think the hardest is 11:45.

Maori | Lettuce Poster

Yesterday Morning Ls1 group B went into work space 2 for Maori. Whea Odie choose as a number. We were number 11. We had to look on the paper to see which food we were doing. We had to write about Lettuce in English and Maori. For this task we had to get into 2. The person i worked with was Victoria. This was hard and easy to do. The easiest part was putting the picture on, doing the boxes, and writing the box in with english.

Kiwi Can

Today group B went to room 7 for kiwi can. When we got insde we had to get into 4 lanes. We then started talking about our Theme and Topic. Our theme is respect adn our topic is respect for our community. Community is when you trust people even with people that are in your area. We then went into our energiser it was called hand ball. It's when you need to get into a cirle. Have one hand behind your back ad your other hand in between your legs. So there will be a ball included people will need to hit the ball in between your legs to get you out of the game. We could't use 2 hands. We couldn't even cheat as well if you did the are straight out of the game. We then went back into our 4 lanes. We then started to talking about Community again. After we than went into our Activity. It was called Hand Soccer. Is when you get choosen in a game. When we got into our teams we had to choose a team name. We were called All whites it is a real soccer team the other team name was Cookiepotatoe. The team that i was in was All whites. The goal that we had to get up to was number 10. We had to get a number and i was number eight/8. So the Kiwi Can Teacher will say a number and we will go up and hit the ball so we can get a score. The score that we had was 8/eight and the other team had Ten/10. We then went into a circle so we could play JKQ. It's when you go around the circle and the teachers will say a question and we have to answer it before the other person does. We went all around the circle sme of the question's were easy and hard. The easy 1/one was to name 2 colour's starting with p. The answer was Pink and Purple. The master of the game was Sandra. The first master was Mojtaba then it went to Sandra.We then lined back outside and went to class and we had to blog about this.

Maniakalani film festival

On Wednesday all the Maniakalani schools went to the movies to watch the films that we had created. The movie that we chose to do was Kung Fu Parody. All the other schools had different films to the others. The actors that we in our film was Fau, Charlize, Alayah(Me),Victoria, and Chris. The director of our movie was Mr Wong. The film was about us fighting over who one the game. The name for the game is A bit Dicey. It when you have a stick in your mouth and a person will stick dice on your stick. f they fall of the stick it will be a ELIMINATION. The goal is to put 6 dice on the stick.

World War 1 | Inquiry | Interactive Notebook

 

L.I:To learn about the causes, conflict, and resolution to World War 1 (WWI). 
This week for Inquiry we were learning about WW1. We had to focus on 2 slides. One of them was Battles of WW1 and New Weapons of WW1. The weapons that we had to name out of was Weapons at sea, Weapons on land, and Weapons in the air. On the other slide we had to do these questions. Like why did Russia leave war.

L.I: To finish our artwork
Today LS1 had to finish our Artwork. If we were finished and we had or Art on the wall we had to help the other kids so they can finish and they can finish there must do. So first thing is that we needed to make a christmas design, Poppy design, and Max gimblett design. For my christmas one i did a Ornament that has falling snow in it, For the poppy i just made a normal one, and for max gimblett i did squares on the side coloured in Gold and the background or black.

Boxing

After Morning tea today Ls1 group b went to the hall for boxing. We had to get into partners. The person that i went with was Liane. She had to wear the gloves first and i had to hold up the noodle. So what i needed to do was that i needed to hold out the noodle and liane needs to do the punches. Miss pacs told us some skills like Jab, cross, Hook, and upercut. When liane does a uper cut i need to put the noodle up so she can get up and hit it.

This week I have been commenting on peoples blogpost. I Commented on Victorias because it had good key facts about Dr Seuss. She wrote where he was born ad what day, she also wrote Dr Seuss's first published book, and she also did His real name. Dr Seuss's Real name is Theador Seuss Geisel.

 The Dr Seuss task had to go on the Must Do Task List. The task that LS1 did wasn't to bad. We mostly all got the facts of Dr Seuss Biography. I did the same Blogpost as Victoria. 

Paikea | Whale Rider | Maori


This Morning Group B was learning about This Whale Called Paikea. We had to do alot of research on this whale so we can get finish fast and so we can blog it. I knew about this whale because i watched the movie. The Movie is called Whale Rider. I did some links so you can click on to see more facts and stuff.

Today Group B went to room 7 to have Kiwi Can. When we got there we had to get into 4 Lanes. We then  talked about what was our Theme and Topic. Our Theme is Respect and our Topic is respect for our community. We then went into our Energiser it was called Remote. It when Miss paige and Mrs Matt says Stop, Pause, Reverse, and Lie down. We had a little practise and Realses.

We then went back into our 4 lanes. We then talked about what do we need to show respect for. Like Parents, Libirains, Life Guards and other people that will keep you safe. We then went into our Activty. We went on the court to play this game. The game was called Invisible Tag. So its when the teachers call out a number. When we run Mr Matt will say wh is the person with something. Then the other people will have to tag him and get to the other side. Then we went back to class and started to blog our Kiwi Can post.

Dr Seuss | Author Study


This week for Inquiry LS1 was learning about Dr Seuss. Dr Seuss real name is Theodor Seuss Geisel. So we needed most of his key facts so we searched up Dr Seuss Biograhy. We clicked the first site and it showed us when he like first started being a Author and Illustrator. We had to write sentence for his key facts so we can do this Moral Lesson / Rhythms. We got to write a sentence like Dr Seuss Uses Moral Lessons and Rhythms. We aneeded to Attribute the images

Types of Rhymns | Inquiry


L.I:To know what rhyming is
This week for inquiry we had to write the definition of End Rhyme, Alliteration, Consonance, and also Assonance. We had to get into a group of 4. The group that i went with was Florence, Juel, and Victoria. Victoria wrote about Alliteration, Alayah (Me) wrote about End Rhyme, Juel wrote about Assonance, and Florence wrote about Consonance.

We also needed a photo and we needed to highlight the words that are silimlar to the text that we are writing about. On the slide that i was working on i did some examples for you guys to know what End Rhyme actually is. We needed to find the rhymes out of the books that was illustrated from Dr Seuss. I got my text from out o The Lorax book. This Inquiry task wasn't that hard to do we only needed to grab a photo, and write the definition for the text that we are working on.

When we are finish our work we needed to check it then show the teacher so we can blog it and finish our other work.

Art


This week for Inqury we were learning about this artist named Max Gimblett. We had to do our poppy in pastel chrismas in colouring pencil and Max Gimblett style in Paint.We dont actually copy his we add some more detail on.
We had to get help by the teacher for doing the compass for the circles. It was amazing and awesome doing this with our class.

This week for inquiry we were learning about this artist named Max gimblett. He mostlys draws and paints on quatrefoils. When you turn them around it will be a shape of a Anzac Poppy. In the slides its mostly talking about wuatrefoils and his key facts.

L.I: To do a quality comment

Today the maniakalani schools went to the cinemas to watch some films that schools made. When we came back to school we had to comment on your favourite Film. My one was Tamaki College one when they sang and dance to there song that they have created. The dancers was Chealse and Tysea.

Kiwi Can

Today for kiwi Can group B went to room 7 for a learning session. The people that talk to us about respect are Miss Paige and Mr Matt. They mostly focus on respect because respect means treating people that way you want to be treated.

The CARE values are important in this school. C stands for confidence,  A stands for attitude, R stands for Respect , and E stands for Excellence. We then went into our energiser. It was called Center Ball. Its when you are in a circle and the ball in the middle of the circle. You will get picked number and Miss Paige will call it out and then we have to try and get the ball from out of the middle.

We then went into our Activity it was called Bus Stop. Its when you write Name, Food, Animal, and color. The teacher will say a letter like B and we need to write B on every label.

Animation



L.I:to replace bundles of objects with an object representing a certain amount.
This week for Maths we had to do a animation. We could pick any number to do the animation. That numbers that i choose was 3/Toru, 10/Tekau, and Tekau Ma Rima/15. This was easy and hard to do. For this task we had to work indervisually/By ourselves.

Evaluation

L.I To evaluate writing samples using the PBS Writing Rubric Slide
This week for Writing we had to highlight that words that don't make sense, Past Tense words and Who, What, Where and When. The text that are highlighted in purple those are the ones that actually doesn't make sense. We had to go on this learning slide that was called writing rubric and we had to see if he had a R3 or R5 and up. 

Interactive book | Template | U-Turn Book

L.I: To make a book interactive. This week for Reading we were focusing on this interactive Book. The book was called and Named U-Turn. Its about a Little boy and His mum. We had to go on the Interactive book template so you Students/Kids can Answer our questions. If you get it wrong you will go on a slide that says "INCORRECT" and if you get it right you will go on the slide that says "CORRECT". When you go to the bottom of the slide it will say all the information about this book that we have been reading.
