Place value adding, and Adding in parts

L.I: to learn part addition and place value addition.
This week for maths we were learning how to do adding in parts and Place value adding. We had to work in our maths group for this task. Place value adding is when you use the thousands, Hundreds, Tens, and Ones. We had to finish this task off at the end of his day. First we had to make a table and write down the equations. We had to write down something that is the right answer. We only used adding and we didn't use subtraction. I worked with Jordan, Fau, Sulia, Oscar, Afatia, Sione T, and Siale.

My maths group is called Divided Bys. So the number that we pick we will have to try and figure out the answer. We will have to add numbers to try and figure the number. We had to make a google doc and we had to finish it by adding the numbers in. We also had to read a book. The book was about a boy that climbed the highest mountains and 2 girls that sailed off to different islands/countries.
The islands/countries were called/named Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and Rarotonga. The biggest island/country was Fiji. The next biggest island/country was Rarotonga, and the second to last biggest country was Samoa. So that means Tonga is the smallest island/country. The book that we picked was when the 2 girls sailed off to different countries.

What we learnt: we learnt how to do place value adding, and adding in parts.
How we learnt: we learnt by getting into our maths group and writing it down on piece of paper.
