This week for Maori we learned how to write and say Maori Number as Our Maori Teacher Helps us with our task she said that we learning more and more Maori numbers. I worked with Afatia, and Alayah.

This week for Maori we were learning how to tell the time by translating the Maori words into English.

This week we had another session of maori. We needed to translate the maori words into english words.

For Maori today we were translating the Maori words into English. For Maori we name our group Chur Bro. We had to translate some Maori words, all of the words we translated location words.

This week for Maori we were learning about No hea koe (where were from). For this Maori task we needed to work in groups. We needed to ask the students where there from and we needed to write down the maori translation of saying Aotearoa and stuff.

LI: To understand and translate more about the Maori language.

This week for maths we were learning the Maori ways of saying hi and how are you?. The maori teacher that teaches us is Whaea Odie. Whaea Odie said what are you feeling and we would need to say kei te ngenge, Kei te hiamoe, Hei te hiakai, Kei te wera, or Kei te makariri. Ngene english translation is (tired), Hiamoe english translation is (Sleepy), Hiakai english translation us hungry, Wera engish translation is (Hot), and Makairi is (cold). For this Maori task we needed to work in a group of 5 or 7.

For Maori we needed to translate the words that were in the video. For this task we needed to work in a group. When we translate it we would need to go on this site called Maori Dictionary. You would just need to write down the english or maori word and it would show us the english or maori version. This maori task was easy but when we needed to do the researching it was hard but because we worked in a group it was easier.

This week for Maori we were learning about where we are from. We had to write down the Maori and the English version of the place we are from. For this Maori task we needed to work in groups of 6. We needed to stay in the same group that we were last week. First we needed to watch a video. Then do a worksheet about Nga Atua.

This week we had our first session of Maori. Today we had had to do 4 tasks for Maori. We needed to watch a video, then we needed to write down the english version of the speech that was in the vid, then we needed to write down the english words to the maori words. For this Maori task we needed to work in groups of 7. We needed to finished that task before we went to Kiwi can.  We needed to stay in the same group till next week. The tasks that we were doing were easy but when we had to search up the english version it was kind of hard.

Today for maori we were learning about what we like. We needed to make a google draw or google doc and we needed to write down what we like in Maori and English. Then we needed to add some pictures so they know what we like.

This morning we had our next session for Maori. We learnt about the seasons in maori from this site called Te Ara. We needed to make a google draw talking about the events that happens on those seasons. For this maori task we needed to work individually. The maori word for season is Tau.

L.I: to know the weather with knowing the maori word

This morning for maori we were learning about the weather and how to count in maori. Miss whea odie read a book about the stars that are in the sky. In the book there were two stories to tell. We had to make a poster about the weather and we also had to make another poster about nga whetu. We will have to create the pictures or we could search up some photos and insert it into our google drawing. We also needed to write down the maori word for the weathers. We needed to finish this off before school finished.

This morning we had maori with Whea Odie. Whea odie read a book called Ihenga. We had to make a google drawing or a google slide and write down the basic facts of Patupaiarehe and the story. We had to do this maori task individually. If the patupaiarehes touch a human then the human will turn ito a patupaiarehe, to be protected you will have to rubb on some shark oil to protect your self. The story was usally abou the patupaiarehes. We had to research on the patupaiarehes we had to search the questions so we can get the answer.

L.I:to know more about Maori Mythical Creatures.

Mount Maunganui is a moutain in Tauranga. The huna and waitakere ranges are moutains in auckland. Patupaiarehe are Fairies that lived on these moutains in maori myth. I learned about the patupaiarehe and moutains by listening to two stories, the legend of mauoa, and Turehu Wars. I learned where the moutains are by going on google maps.

Today for maori we had to make a copy of this document that had Maori names and English names. We had to fill it out with the English for the maori word. For this Maori task we had to work by our selbes so I did this By myself. This was Easy and Hard to find all of the facts or opinions.

Maori | Lettuce Poster

Yesterday Morning Ls1 group B went into work space 2 for Maori. Whea Odie choose as a number. We were number 11. We had to look on the paper to see which food we were doing. We had to write about Lettuce in English and Maori. For this task we had to get into 2. The person i worked with was Victoria. This was hard and easy to do. The easiest part was putting the picture on, doing the boxes, and writing the box in with english. 

Paikea | Whale Rider | Maori

This Morning Group B was learning about This Whale Called Paikea. We had to do alot of research on this whale so we can get finish fast and so we can blog it. I knew about this whale because i watched the movie. The Movie is called Whale Rider. I did some links so you can click on to see more facts and stuff.

Animation

L.I:to replace bundles of objects with an object representing a certain amount.
This week for Maths we had to do a animation. We could pick any number to do the animation. That numbers that i choose was 3/Toru, 10/Tekau, and Tekau Ma Rima/15. This was easy and hard to do. For this task we had to work indervisually/By ourselves.

Matariki celebration

Yesterday afternoon we had a big celebration for matariki. The kapa haka and the pacifica group preformed. We were at the junior park having this big celebration. In the kapa haka group they did there poi and the boys did the haka. In the pacifica group the girls have so swing there hips and the boys have to swing there legs. The leader for the girls was raera. Her aunty and cousin teached the pacifica how to move there hips side to side. After or off that we had the drumming people. The people that was drumming was Andrew, Junior, Mataio and Jona. The boy that teaches them was Mrs Matt. He touht them how to drum. At the end when they were drumming they all said Matariki. After when the drumming finished the luca lady group came up and started to singing the song lean on me. Even Whaea Odie joined in with them. Whaea odie was the one who teaches the kapa haka group. After when everyone finished we then had to line up and have our sausage sizzles. The juniors have to line up on the left and the seniors have to line up on the right side. When we had sausage sizzles we had to each and then the people that preformed could get another sausage. Some of the people had to share out some if they were full of sausages. After that we then had our lunch time and then we went back to class.
