New Zealand had beautiful trees and Plants. In the desert there are incredible plants. Cactus can survive 2 millions years. If you had a cactus for your birthday you will need to keep it alive s this means that you need to give it 3 ml of water every day.
Hey Alayah, thank for posting this activity on your blog. I am from the Summer Learning Journey team. For this activity we would like you to calculate how much water a cactus would need over the course of one year.
ReplyDeleteSo what you have to do is multiply 3ml (daily water) by 365 (amount of days in a year).
You could try it like this;
300 x 3 =
60 x 3 =
5 x 3 =
Once you have calculated those answers. Add them all together.
Thanks, and good luck.
Billy.
Greetings Alayah,
ReplyDeleteI thought this was pretty hard for me to do because I didn't think inside my head what solving problem to use. I am not sure if it would last for 2 million years but here is a suggestion go on other people blogs and see how they solve it and then compare it to yours.
Keep it up!
Your doing so well!
Hello Alayah! It was nice to see that you participated in the Summer Learning Journey. Great that I see you tried to add more information on the Topic of Cactus's. Next time make sure to double check your facts before posting, Good Job!
ReplyDeleteHi Alayah!
ReplyDeleteIts great to see that you have done the SLJ Maths question. Im so happy that you are partaking in the SLJ. I think that you didn't read the SLJ activity correctly. You were supposed to write down how much water your cactus would need for a whole year. Please correct your post.
Keep it up!
Hi Alayah...great to see you blogging on the SLJ. There's still some time to complete the activities before school begins - how many more can you get done? Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteHello Alayah..
ReplyDeleteMy name is Araura and I am from Wesley Primary School.
Its great to see that you have done the SLJ Maths question.
I wouldn't say cactuses would last 2 million years. I would say they will live up to 995 days maybe.
Anyway keep up the good work.
Kia Ora Alayah,
